SemmleCode can be downloaded and installed in Eclipse by using our update site. Simply get the latest version via Eclipse's update facility.

You can also download the latest version of SemmleCode in a prepackaged zip file. All you need to do is unpack its contents into your Eclipse directory and the plugin is immediately ready to use.

Recommendations (optional)
Once SemmleCode is installed in your Eclipse IDE it is ready to be used straight away with an in-memory relational database system H2. This is ideal if you want to give SemmleCode a quick test drive. You may also consider installing a real relational database management system for better scalability and performance, if you plan to apply it on very large projects. SemmleCode has a special database setup wizard to simplify the task of setting up a database system once it has been installed. If you don't install a database now, you can always decide to upgrade from H2 to a full-fledged database at some later stage, and again the SemmleCode wizard will guide you through that.
